To mark the 40th UAE National Day, the most amazing Night Glow event was organized by Stadia5 in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council.
This was the first time such an event took place in the whole of UAE and it was the most memorable way to celebrate the 40th UAE National Day.
The climax of the event was the sky lantern release. More than 8,000 people of all nationalities came together in Unity and Harmony to light the
sky lanterns and send them to heaven as a symbol of unity and hope. It was truly a breathtaking sight to watch. Everyone actively participated in this event.
Another important highlight of the event was the Special Celebration Cake hot air balloon that stunned the audience. The Night Glow show of the hot air balloons
kept everyone filled with amazement. We would like to thank all the media that were present and covered our event.

The Dubai Sports Council calls for all government institutions and private companies to participate in the celebration of UAE Ballooning Festival and Championship which is being organised by "Stadia5 SSC" who are specialise in organising sporting events.
The event will take place from the 1st to 3rd December 2011 during the nationwide celebrations of official 40th National Day of the founding of the United Arab Emirates.
All citizens, residents and visitors of the United Arab Emirates are invited to watch and participate in this very unique and one of a kind event.
Some of the speakers at the Press Conference to be held at the Meydan Hotel on Wed
9 November 2011 are Mr. Rashid Al Kamali, Director of Marketing and Sports Promotion of the Dubai Sports Council and the representatives of a number of organisations such as Mr. Mahmoud Rashid, Director General of Arabian Radio Network, Mr. Mohammed Al-Khayyat, Commercial Director for the Meydan Hotel and Mr. Wosim Tahan, General Manager of Stadia5 SSC.
The press conference aims to shed light on the details of this very special event that is meant to unite the United Arab Emirates in a way that has never been done before.
It aims to encourage UAE based businesses to get involved and strengthen the bonds of interaction between the private sector, sports and other community groups.
During this event, hot air balloons will ascend into the Dubai skies and fly across the Dubai skyline, enhancing its beauty and making this truly a spectacular and marvelous sight. Especially the cake balloon which will be the first of its kind to be displayed in U.A.E. and the Middle East as a gift by the Dubai Sports Council towards the celebration of the 40th UAE National Day. They also plan to increase the number of balloons during the coming period with the expectation of up to 20 or more balloons.
The balloons will fly on 1st and 3rd December in the Dubai skyline from the direction of Jumeirah towards Arabian Ranches. The balloons will be decorated with the flags of the UAE, slogans and designed according to the latest specifications.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharif, Secretary General of the Council confirms the importance of this event which aims not only to celebrate this glorious occasion but it is also consistent with the mission of the Council in creating a comprehensive sports environment that meets the requirements of the society. It’s not only entertaining for all to watch and but also gives the public of UAE a chance to get involved and a sense of unity.

Program for the festival, 2nd December at Meydan:
1. Ascension of hot air balloons and Special Night Glow ceremony in the evening.
2. Raising of the Cake Balloon during the Gala Dinner.
3. Launching of Sky lanterns at night in the sky to make this a memorable night.
4. Release of helium balloons in the sky with a special National Day message.
5. Contests for children for the best drawing based on the festive balloons over the UAE.
6. Formation Show: Children form the UAE flag and recite the National Anthem.
